ARCHDIOCESE OF DENVER TRAVELING STATUE OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA
This statue of Our Lady of Fatima was commissioned in Portugal in 2016 by the Prayer in the Square Campaign and partners including The Catholic Foundation, Knights of Columbus and Catholic Charities as a gift to the archdiocese to mark the then-upcoming 100th anniversary of the Fatima apparitions and to promote the rosary.
Those who carved the statues were overwhelmed with centennial orders, so it took two years to complete. Denver’s statue did not arrive until spring 2018 and was blessed by Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila that May.
This beautiful five-foot tall statue weighs 155 lbs. and is made from a single piece of African wood. Exquisite details include visible teeth in Mary’s smile, palmar flexion creases in the palms of Mary’s hands and fine lace at the base of Mary’s throat.
Such statues are believed to carry the moral presence of Mary.

Dear Friend in Christ,
Because of your generosity, lives across Northern Colorado are being transformed.
Together, we’re already 70% of the way to our $11.8 million goal for this year's Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal and the difference is extraordinary:
121 seminarians receiving formation to discern the priesthood
9,500+ students and youth growing in faith through Catholic education
640,000+ meals served to the hungry
275,000+ nights of shelter offered to the homeless
36,000+ individuals and couples strengthened through religious and marriage formation
Each number tells a story of faith renewed, hope restored and love in action.
Together, we’re proving that generosity changes everything.
